Tatiana Blatnik Spearheads Greek Mental Health Campaign

Tatiana Blatnik, founder of the mental health organisation "Breathe Hellas," launched a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about mental health .
The campaign, titled "Uniform of Hope" and launched at the historic Kallimarmaro Museum, aims to enlist athletes as role models to break down stigma and to encourage open dialogue about mental well-being.
The campaign, running from July 16th to October 10th, will feature prominent Greek athletes and coaches sharing their stories through videos, photos, and messages. Supported by the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the initiative seeks to establish Greece as a leader in mental health care and prevention.
During the campaign's launch at the Panathenaic Stadium, Ms. Blatnik emphasised the importance of addressing mental strength alongside physical strength, and creating safe spaces for individuals to express themselves.
She also highlighted the significance of supporting athletes and celebrating resilience in the lead-up to the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis applauded the initiative, stressing the importance of recognizing the mental well-being of athletes and the broader community.
He said the government's commitment to providing mental health resources and services to those in need.
