Georgiadis for Palestinian flags in Epidaurus: A place of culture turned into a political arena
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The hanging of Palestinian flags and the slogans that were heard in the ancient theater of Epidaurus were castigated by the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, in his post on X.
The health minister said that those chanting "Freedom to Palestine" were repeating a Hamas slogan and added: "I wish that once at a cultural event all these 'sensitive' leftists raise Ukrainian flags and protest against Russia's invasion of Ukraine or about the recent bombing of the Children's Hospital in Kiev by a Russian cruise missile...

Our people say that half-knowledge is worse than ignorance. I read that at the end of the performance of Aeschylus' Oresteia, on Saturday (July 20), thousands of citizens rhythmically chanted and clapped their hands "Freedom for Palestine" along with the actors and crew, even Palestinian flags appeared. For these flags to appear it was obviously organized. Ie they went there with the intention of making this protest and their political statement. That a place of culture turned into a political arena is a matter for debate. What is not up for debate is that the speakers do not know that by saying freedom for Palestine, as Hamas says, they are calling for the destruction of Israel. Unless they know that and that's what they're asking for. And one question, are the 120 Israeli hostages not entitled to freedom because they are Jews? PS: I'm wish that for once at a cultural event all these "sensitive" leftists raise Ukrainian flags and protest Russia's invasion of Ukraine or the recent bombing of the Children's Hospital in Kiev by a Russian cruise missile…
