A 41-year-old woman has tragically passed away in an Athens hospital after succumbing to severe head injuries sustained during a violent attack by her partner in Patra.
The incident occurred in the early hours of November 4th outside a hotel where the victim was staying.
Her 49-year-old partner, who was reportedly waiting for her outside the hotel, was arrested following the attack.
The victim was initially taken to a hospital in Patra, but due to the severity of her injuries, including a fractured occipital bone, she was transferred to the specialized trauma center at KAT Hospital in Athens. Despite medical efforts, she passed away on Tuesday.
In a selfless act of compassion, the victim's family has decided to donate her organs, offering others a chance at life and honoring her memory.
The tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of domestic violence.
