In it, police officers can be seen breaking into houses either through windows or through doors, using a specially trained dog to locate evidence, while during their searches, they find weapons in the storage space of a bed. In other footage, the confiscated vehicles used by the gang members can be seen.
13 arrests, rifles, cartridges and cables for power theft were found
In total, 13 arrests of people from a settlement in Aspropyrgos were made by police officers participating in a special operation on Wednesday morning.
Charges were filed against those arrested for -as appropriate- theft of electricity and violations of the laws on weapons, the environment and health provisions, while violations of the Code of Conduct were confirmed for not wearing a helmet, etc.
Three hunting rifles, 53 cartridges and a pistol holster were found and confiscated in houses, while a DEDDIE team dismantled 200 meters of cables used for power theft

A special police operation was carried out yesterday morning in a settlement of Aspropyrgos, with the aim of preventing and dealing with any form of illegal activity that has been recorded in the said area.
The operation was planned and implemented by the West Attica Police Directorate and involved police officers from the above Service, the West Attica Crime Prosecution and Investigation Sub-Directorate, the OPKE, the DIAS Team, the Attica Police Operations and Traffic Police Directorates, a police dog and an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone).
During the operation, a total of 13 people were arrested and charges were filed against them for -as appropriate- theft of electricity and violations of the laws on weapons, the environment and health provisions, while violations of the Code of Conduct were confirmed for failure to wear a helmet, etc.
In addition, searches were carried out in homes, where 3 shotguns, 53 cartridges and a pistol holster were found and confiscated.
Finally, a team from the power transmission authority dismantled 200 meters of cables used for power theft, while with the assistance of employees of the Department of Environmental Protection of the Regional Unit of Western Attica, an autopsy was carried out, where two violations of environmental legislation were found that caused environmental pollution.
The arrested were taken to the competent prosecutor's office.
