The Red Cross faced many incidents
At the same time, the Hellenic Red Cross was on high alert, having set up a First Aid Station in Georgiou Square, in the area of Esperos.

With more than 180 volunteer Samaritans-Rescuers, Lifeguards, Health and Social Welfare volunteers, as well as specialized nursing staff, a fully organized field clinic was operating with five specially designed tents and appropriate equipment.

The head of the Samaritans and Lifeguards, Dimitris Chaliotis, reported on the local website that on Friday and Saturday alone, 223 incidents were recorded, mainly of intoxication and injuries. On Sunday, the number increased significantly, as approximately 400 people passed through the field clinic, while in several cases it was deemed necessary to be transported to hospitals.

It is noted that there was also an increase in incidents of beatings on Sunday night towards the early hours of Monday, which further burdened the work of the volunteers.
