Evzones raise the flag on Acropolis marking the beginning of 25 March celebrations

The program of festive events for March 25th continues with the ceremony of raising the Greek flag on the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis.
Around 8:00, the Evzones of the Presidential Guard raised the Greek flag on the mast, while the Coast Guard band performed the national anthem amidst an emotional climate.
Earlier all 21 cannon shots were fired at Lycabettus to begin the commemoration events for the 1821 revolution.
