Nineteen year old girl dies after cocaine use in Kefalonia
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
There is immense sadness in Kefalonia for the loss of 19-year-old Myrto who lost her life, with her friends abandoning her unconscious in the middle of the street.
One of the three arrested had spoken from the beginning about using drugs, cocaine, in the hotel room where the 19-year-old allegedly fainted.
Newer information indicates that the 19-year-old used cocaine twice and collapsed during the second time. However, her friends did not immediately give the necessary attention, and when they realized that the girl had lost consciousness, they took her and abandoned her in a central part of the city, instead of taking her to the hospital for first aid. For this reason, all three people were arrested for endangering a person and are currently before the prosecutor.
The 19-year-old had been at the hotel with her 23-year-old boyfriend since 12 at night. At around 2 a.m., they used cocaine, which was supplied to them on the spot by the weightlifter, whom they called to deliver drugs to them.
All three of them are reported to have used cocaine.
In fact, an hour later, the athlete reportedly returned with a new quantity of drugs. His 22-year-old friend was also with him.
The three of them, except for the 22-year-old, used cocaine again. And that's where the 19-year-old reportedly collapsed.
According to information, the former weightlifter has reportedly been arrested again in the past for drugs. The person in question has reportedly stopped lifting weights for the last four years.
The father of the 19-year-old is devastated
The father of the 19-year-old, speaking on a show, described his daughter as a quiet and protected child with no connection to substances or dangerous behaviors. He argued that the young girl may have been influenced or trapped by third parties, asking that the investigation reveal what exactly happened in the last hours before her death.
"My child was not that kind of child. They may have influenced him, trapped him, thrown something at him, made him their subordinate. The investigation will tell us that," he said.
"When the ambulance arrived, she was conscious, in two minutes she was dead. The child, from 3 o'clock when they left him there until 5, had been thrown on the sidewalk and was struggling on the sidewalk. He wasn't even a dog," he added.
"I don't exist, I'm done. Just one word, I don't exist. You'll see me in a few days when I won't exist. My little daughter, this sprout, this little angel, was going to be Miss Universe. I kept her in Kefalonia so she wouldn't go to Athens, so she wouldn't pass the Panhellenic Games, so I wouldn't lose her in Athens. With so much going on, so many crimes, I kept her here. I put her in a vocational school in a school and now they killed her," he added.
"My child was a virgin, she had nothing to do with drugs, she had nothing to do with drinks. It was school and home and sometimes she would go with her friends for a coffee. Normal things. I believe that they seduced her with deceit, they put something in her drink and she suffered what she suffered, she was thrown out on the street.
She was studying microbiology to pass her time, not to sit at home. I also built 3-4 maisonettes for her. Now they took my life, my breath, the air and the sky with the stars. She was my everything", he concluded.
