Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN), owned by Dr. Nikos Tsakos, received today, Thursday, from the shipyards of Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea, the third newly built DP2 Suezmax Shuttle Tanker from the total program of 12 (3+9) units of this type, which will be delivered by 2028.

The new ship is called “Anfield” and will sail under the Greek flag.

The name giver was the United States Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, while the company’s new acquisition has already secured a long-term charter from Exxon.

The vessel has a capacity of 154,000 dwt and is a sister ship to the “Athens 04” and “Paris 24”, which joined the TEN fleet in April 2025.

The shipbuilding program for 12 DP2 Suezmax Shuttle Tankers represents an investment of $2.2 billion.
