Lady Gaga in Athens

The American star will be stopping by the Olympic Stadium on September 19, as part of her world tour entitled “Lady Gaga's artRAVE: the Artpop Ball”.

It's been a while since a pop idol appeared in Athens at the top of their game. And when it comes to pop idols, few can measure up to Gaga power. As soon as it was announced that Lady Gaga will be performing live in Athens on September 19, it has been the absolute talk of the town.

The American star will be stopping by the Olympic Stadium as part of her world tour entitled “Lady Gaga's artRAVE: the Artpop Ball”. With over 4 million tickets to its credit, the Gaga live machine is coming to Athens for the first time, as announced today by Live Nation Entertainment president, Arthur Fogel. The company has revolutionized the ever more popular pop concert venue, buying the rights of international stars such as Madonna, U2, Jay-Z and Shakira.

The set of “the Artpop Ball” is designed in such a way as to bring the singer closer to her fans, regardless where they stand. The corridors, made of semi-transparent material, are connecting the main stage with the smaller stages built around it, going all the way to where fans are situated. Fans will be able to walk and dance in these corridors, while observing the show through a new perspective.

The world tour is set to support Lady Gaga's multiplatinum “Artpop” album, which reached the top of the Billboard charts in the first week it came out. During the live show, she will be performing both the album's big hits and a retrospective of her older hits.

Ticket sales for “Lady Gaga's artRAVE: the Artpop Ball” are going out on Friday, April 4 at 10 am and the cost ranges from 38.5 to 82.5 euros. Ticket price for the Olympic Stadium arena will be at 49.5 euros and a limited amount of VIP tickets costing 115.5 euros will be available. You can purchase your tickets online from www.lavris.gr and in a few days physical ticket sales points will be announced shortly.
