The explosion was caused by a makeshift explosive devise made of utane canisters, which was positioned underneath the back side of Mrs. Dora Kalatzis' car.
An explosion at dawn shook the quiet Holy Thursday morning in the Agios Loukas suburb of Kavala. When the dust settled, it turned out that the car of the Parliament VP Giorgos Kalatzis' wife's car had been the target of the explosion.
The explosion was caused by a makeshift explosive devise made of butane canisters, which was positioned underneath the back side of Mrs. Dora Kalatzis' car. The explosion caused a fire put out immediately by the Fire department, but not before it caused significant damage to the car.
According to the first police estimates, the makeshift device is almost identical to the one set in the entrance of the Kavala Regional Headquarters about a year ago.
The police are investigating this bizarre incident. No one has claimed responsibility yet.
