Venizelos Offers Ukrainian Quadrilateral Meeting Statement
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos remarked on yesterday's Geneva quadrilateral meeting between the United States, Russia, Ukraine and the European Union.
On behalf of the Hellenic Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Venizelos offered the following statement, regarding the turmoil in Ukraine:
"The points agreed on in Geneva are an important first step toward de-escalating the situation and shaping the conditions for overcoming the crisis in Ukraine.
What is important now is the conscientious implementation of everything agreed upon, so that a climate of trust and a sense of security can be restored on all levels."
