Wednesday Brings Parliament's Golden Dawn Immunity Vote
On Wednesday, Greek Parliament is planning to vote over Golden Dawn's prosecution immunity, concerning a prior MP and four lawmakers, as confirmed by House Speaker Evangelos Meimarakis.
The vote will decide whether or not to life the immunity of Polyvios Zisimopoulos, Antonios Gregos, Constantinos Barbarousis, Chrysovalantis Alexopoulos and Artemis Matthaiopoulos. The act will originate in Parliament's plenary session and will immediately lead into a poll. The Parliamentary stance was confirmed in yesterday's written document by Meimarakis, that he gave to magistrates Maria Dimitropoulou and Ioanna Klapa.
After Wednesday's decision, MPs will be requested to agree to the magistrate's demand of additional charges to be placed on arrested Golden Dawn head Nikos Michaloliakos, along with MPs Yiannis Lagos, Panagiotis Iliopoulos, Stathis Boukouras, Giorgos Germenis, Christos Pappas and Nikos Michos.
