DIMAR & Papandreou's Questioned Alliance
Democratic Left leader Fotis Kouvelis, who left the current administration last summer, due to ERT's conclusion, has shot down reports concerning a collaboration between George Papandreou and his political party.
Kouvelis' dismissal, comes before a scheduled joint appearance at an Athenian book event tomorrow, by the two politicians. The leader offered the following statement to Skai yesterday, "George Papandreou has not expressed an interest in joining DIMAR".
Kouvelis claimed that tomorrow's dual presence, "...has nothing underneath it". Yet, he did admit that Papandreou's participation at the event, regarding former PASOK member and Euro MP Marilena Koppa's book, "...paints a certain picture". DIMAR MP Grigoris Psarianos stated to Skai on Friday, regarding Papandreou's attendance at the book seminar, "Perhaps DIMAR could see an increase in its support with Papandreou's supporters getting the message: 'Vote DIMAR'".
