University of Crete Ranked 53rd in Global Ratings!
Once again, the Times Higher Education ranked the University of Crete as the 53rd best young educational institution in the world!
The Greek university is placed in the under- 50-year-old category. Its ranking mechanisms examine its teaching, research, knowledge and international sectors.
Times Higher Education Editor Phil Baty described, "The 100 Under 50 rankings highlight those institutions that have joined the ranks of the world's finest in a matter of years, while many of their competitors have had centuries of development, or those that are showing great potential for future success".
The editor added, "...So for Crete, despite Greece's well documented and extraordinary economic challenges, to have held on well in the ranking against such tough global competition is a great achievement."
