Samaras & Tsipras Cast Local Votes
In today's local elections, New Democracy Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras offered statements after placing their votes.
In Pylos, Prime Minster Antonis Samaras cast his local administration vote. While leaving the voting polls, he commented: "Democratically and with unity, we are exiting from the crisis". After voting, the Prime Minister headed back to Athens.
In the Athenian region of Kypseli, main competitor SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras voted as well. After conducting his vote, Tspiras confirmed his confidence that citizens: "...will take the first but important step in order for cities and the regions to change authority. An important step in order for Greece to turn the page".
