Nikos Kouzoulos was sent to jail by the investigating judges after he appeared before them to testify, accused of being involved in several criminal activities.
One by one, all the Golden Dawn MPs are heading for jail. With the judiciary feverishly investigating the cases where neo-Nazi party members are involved in illegal activities, it's only a matter of time before most, if not all, GD parliamentarians are behind bars.
Nikos Kouzoulos was No. 7. He was sent to jail by the investigating judges Ioanna Klapa and Maria Dimitropoulou, after he appeared before them to testify. The charges are that he was involved in several criminal activities of the party. Specifically, he is accused of being the head of the party's strike force during an attack in Keratsini in January 2014.
In his testimony, Kouzoulos followed the defense line of all party members, claiming that his prosecution is political and all evidence against him were fabricated. After being sent to jail awaiting trial, the next GD MP in line to testify in front of the lady investigators, is Eleni Zaroulia, the tough wife of party leader, Nikos Michaloliakos, one of the first arrested in September 2013.
