EU Bullying Analysis Ranks Greece Fourth
As reported in a European Union analysis this week, Greece currently rates fourth in school bullying, of all member states.
The study determined that one in three Hellenic students are victimized by bullying. The "European campaign against bullying", was revealed in Athens during a two-day seminar that was held yesterday and today.
The report was funded by the EU and experts from a variety of fields conducted it. As confirmed in the examination, 31% of Greece's secondary pupils have been bullied, while 43% have been affected in Bulgaria, 50% in Estonia, and 51% in Lithuania, according to Kathimerini.
It has been reported that bullied youth are two times more likely to contemplate and/or pursue suicide, as determined in the Netherland's Leiden University analysis in May.
