Greek & Romanian Defense Ministers Hold Bucharest Meeting
Today, Greek Defense Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos and his Romanian colleauge Mircea Dusa met in Bucharest.
The two Defense Ministers voiced their governmental stance on general principles and border stability within the territory. According to ANA-MPA, Avramopoulos stated of his desire to create a "stability axis from the northern to the southern part of the Balkans, aiming at creating an oasis of safety and security for the entire region".
The two defense delegates' major points of discussion included next September's NATO Summit. The Romanian Defense Minister stated his request that the EU commits to safeguard eastern and southern Europe. The Greek Defense Minister commented that the two nations will offer agreed upon opinions concerning the Middle East, Ukraine, and the eastern Mediterranean.
Both leaders claimed they agree with Moldova's European outlook. They have planned to expand and enhance their current collaborative defense agreements, that will be further ratified when Dusa travels to Athens.
