Athens Flying Week

Athens Flying Week, the greatest airshow event in Athens rounded up a wonderful week for air enthusiasts, on Sunday.
This year's events were attended by more than double the 20,000 people that attended last year's show.
The AFW was for a second year in a row a major attraction, having already piqued great interest of many people visiting from abroad.
The roster included flying demonstrations by Polish Air Force aerobatic squadron ORLIK TEAM, THE FLYING BULLS, Francesco Fornabaio – BREITLING, BLUE CIRCE TEAM, Jurgis Kairys – VOSTOK, Hellenic Navy AB212, Hellenic Army AH-64A Apache, Hellenic Air force Super Puma, C-130 and Deadalos Demo Team T-6A, Royal Netherlands Air Force F-16, Parachutists from the HAF and HA, and a host of other participants in all manner of privately owned aircraft.
The Hellenic Air Force also kept its Air Museum open with shuttle buses facilitating visitors.
The events were kicked off by a seminar on issues connected with flight, and was followed by a pre-show event at Faliro, before the three-day air show kicked off on Friday.
