PPC Workers Strike Continues
PPC employees began their second day of striking, opposing the government's plans to partially privatize the power company.
Today also brings an Athens Court of First Instance decision on whether the strike by GENOP labor union was illegal or not. PPC brought the case to court and has requested that the legal system deem the strike as illegal.
Unionists have stated that if their protest is considered illegal, the workers will appeal that decision. It has been reported that disgruntled workers will enlarge their strike to the islands, during the busy summer tourist season.
