New Golden Dawn Member Rulings
Golden Dawn chief Nikos Mihaloliakos and MPs Christos Pappas and Yiannas Lagos were imprisoned again, after testifying on Friday, according to international reports.
The three right-winged party members are being tried, concerning leading and affiliating with the political entity. Magistrates Maria Dimitropoulos and Ioanna Klapa are heading the trial; the three were asked to offer additional statements on new charges placed on them. Mihaloliakos and Lagos were queried on charges of illegal ownership of weapons and explosives, while Pappas was asked about weapons and antiquity law breaches.
Concerning these explored charges, magistrates decided that Mihaloliakos and Lagos will be put under house arrest and won't be allowed to leave Greece. Pappas will be released without restrictions, according to ANA-MPA.
These rulings will be enforced if the three are released, concerning their other charges. This legal outcome was supported by Golden Dawn advocates that surrounded the courthouse, who observed the three being transported to Korydallos Prison via a police van.
