Firefighters Control Eastern Attica Fire
A fire erupted yesterday in eastern Attica and ravaged two farm structures, along with farmlands and brushwood, according to ekathimerini.
Firefighters working to control the flames were challenged, due to the windy environment of the weekend. Various homes in the area were evacuated, while injuries have not been reported.
Yesterday evening Keratea Mayor Costas Levantis stated to Skai that the blaze was ignited in three separate areas at approximately the same time, which may have been intentionally lit by arsonists. Levantis further commented that the three fires formed one last night, that measured 2 kilometers in length at least.
