Rhodes Receives Chinese President
Chinese President Xi Jinping landed on Rhodes this afternoon and will stay until tomorrow morning, according to reports.
Prime Minister Antonis Samaras received China's leader, while increased security has been administered across the island. President Karolos Papoulias hosted a lunch in his honor, that was held at the hotel he is residing in.
Xi Jinping is scheduled to tour the Castle of the Knights and the Medieval City with Prime Minister Samaras, according to ANA-MPA. While the visit is not in an official capacity, it is anticipated that Greek leaders and the Chinese President will discuss their current collaborations and economic ties.
