Doctors Face Legal System After Denying Medical Assistance
Kastoria and Grevena hospital gynecologists have been questioned by law enforcement, after reportedly denying medical assistance to a pregnant woman.
The doctors will now be brought to the courts, after refusing to assist in the birth of her child after her water broke, according to Kathimerini. The female was initially rejected at Kastoria hospital and referred to Grevena hospital, where she was also banned from medical treatment.
A private clinic finally aided her. The women eventually filed a grievance with the Ombudsman, that resulted in an internal probe and determined that the three gynecologists had neglected her.
