A strong earthquake of 6.1 Richter occurred, on Tuesday morning, in a sea area off Karpathos.
A new earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale was recorded in Crete shortly after 18:30 on Friday evening, with an epicenter 2 km southwest of Arkalochori, in the quake-stricken municipality Minoa Pediados at Heraklion, according to Athens National Observatory's Geodynamics Institute.
Α worker was pulled out dead from the ruins of the church of Profitis Ilias, outside the village of Arkalochori in Heraklion, Crete, after the roof collapsed on him during the 5.8 Richter earthquake that shook the island.
