Thessaloniki woman fined for hosting 54 dogs and not ensuring their well being

A woman hosted 16 dogs in her house and took care of another 38 in the adjacent plot, in the area of Letis Thessaloniki.

After complaints about the existence of a large number of companion animals, police officers from the Kordelios-Evosmos and Oriokastro departments, with the assistance of a judicial officer and a representative of the local municipality, visited the house and found the huge number of dogs that the woman was hosting. However, the investigation revealed that the area was not clean and did not ensure the well-being of the four-legged animals, so an administrative fine of 2,000 euros was imposed.

Mitsotakis: 'No question of sending European forces, NATO forces, into Ukraine'

There is no issue of sending European NATO forces into Ukraine, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in statements to journalists, after the conference on the support of Ukraine in Paris on Monday.
In detail, in his statements, the prime minister said:

Journalist: So tell us, what was the outcome of this meeting?

Kyriakos Mitsotakis: Discussions with President Macron and with our counterparts are always of particular interest, especially when two years have passed since Russia's barbaric invasion of Ukraine.

I believe that we reaffirmed our unity and our determination to support Ukraine so that it can defend itself in the best possible way against the Russian invasion. I think we have also reached a framework which I would tell you does not deviate particularly from the decisions we have taken in the European Council on how this aid can, in a practical way, have a more substantial and useful result for Ukraine.

Beyond that, because I also heard various comments from colleagues, my counterparts, about issues that may have been discussed in the room, I want to assure you that there is no question of sending European forces, NATO forces, into Ukraine. There is no such issue for Greece and I believe that there is no such issue for the great majority of our partners.

Journalist: Was the issue of a European army raised?

Kyriakos Mitsotakis: As I told you, there is no such issue, and I think that this discussion is distracting from the essence of our effort to actually support Ukraine at this moment. Thank you very much.
