Murder Wrapped in Plastic
- Written by C.Athanasatos
In the grand tradition of the "Big Sleep" and "Double Indemnity", comes this exciting new short play, with Greek actress Fiona Georgiadi in the leading role of The Dame.
PLOT
A famous detective (like Humphrey Bogart) is approached by a beautiful Dame, who has lost her beloved brother and is now seeking for help. However, the Dame following the example of Lauren de Bacall and Mary Astor is actually using her beauty in order to seduce the naive and handsome detective and make him find some really private photos held by her 'supposedly lost' brother – proving her to be "too friendly" with Senator Claypool, a prestigious politician of that era. She is in cahoots with Mr Big, a really rich businessman, with whom she is blackmailing Senator Claypool so that she gains more money and power.
Written by George Walsh and Nicholas Thomas, "Murder wrapped in plastic" is an original mystery play, inspired by and based on the films noirs of 1940s like Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon.
