Astoria Holds OXI Greek Rally July 1st
The Hellenic Societies Federation, AKNY Solidarity for Greece, and Syriza NY have organized a rally supporting the people of Greece, in New York City.
The demonstration is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1st, at Athens Square in Astoria, and begins at 6:30 p.m. The event supports the Greek people to declare "NO" to the financial blackmail, "NO" to austerity and "NO" to fear.
As stated by the organizations, it strives to, "support the Greek referendum for democracy and dignity." Organizers are calling on all to show their solidarity with Greece and bring OXI (NO) signs, banners and more, to display during the protest.
Athens Square park is located at 30th Avenue and 30th Street, and is easily accessible by the NYC subway lines N & Q.
