Greeks in Australia, responded to the presence of George Varemenos who went to Melbourne to attend the celebrations of March 25th, with strong remontrations,
After the parade, which was attended by many expatriates, the SYRIZA MP began his speech. However, then the condemnations for the Prespa Agreement began. Some people began to call "Hellas, Greece Macedonia" at Mr Varemenos, while others called him a "bum" and the SYRIZA government "traitors" and the continued booing him, according to the neoskosmos website.
Indeed, one of the more "hotheads" threw two bottles against Mr. Varemeno without being a threat for the Syriza MP, according to the same information, while the speech was very difficult to hear because of the slogans. A few moments later, while the disapproval continued, Mr Varemenos's security personnel decided that he would have to move away from the area, according to the Greek program of SBS.
