Two hundred and fifty teenagers and young people from various states in the USA and Canada participated in the 16th Youth Festival hosted by the Pontian Association “Akrites” of Philadelphia. The festival took place from June 20 to 22, 2025 at the St. Demetrius Community Center in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, in the courtyard of which the first monument to the Genocide of Pontian Hellenism is kept.

The festival was organized by the Youth of the Pontian Federation of America and Canada and provided the opportunity for teenagers and young people to meet with their peers, speak Pontian, attend interesting workshops and have fun with artists from their homeland and the diaspora.

There was particular interest in the workshops on cooking, dance, music, singing and history of Pontus, in which young people had the opportunity to learn from their elders.

At the same time, the Pontic Youth USA-Canada discussed its future plans, while the great Pontic feast for the end of the festival left everyone with the best impressions.

The next Pontic Festival will take place from June 19–21, 2026 in Toronto, Canada.
