The wife of Giannis Antetokounmpo became the recipient of threatening messages on social media, just a few days after the conclusion of EuroBasket 2025.
As seen from Mariah Riddlesprigger’s Instagram post, one of the threatening messages came from a user whose name suggests they are Turkish.
“We will kill your entire family. You will be afraid wherever you go,” the message read.
Mentioning the Turkish Basketball Federation, Mariah Riddlesprigger first congratulated Turkey for their silver medal at EuroBasket, but also added, addressing Turkish fans: “There is no place for such behavior in sports. Actually, there is no place for this behavior at all. Period.”
