Alpha Omega Council Honors Journalist Maria Stephanos
This year, the Alpha Omega Council will honor FOX 25 news anchor Maria Stephanos with the 2014 Alpha Omega Council Lifetime Achievement Award.
The commemoration will take place on Saturday, May 31st at the Westin Copley Place in Boston, MA. Before becoming one of New England's premier broadcast journalists, Stephanos launched her career as a Massachusetts State House reporter.
In her successful international career, the Greek-American reporter has covered breaking news stories, such as the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings and Democratic and Republican Conventions. Stephanos has interviewed three U.S. Presidents and previously received the Associated Press Award for Outstanding Feature Writing and Presentation.
The Alpha Omega Council was established in 1976 and has donated more than $2 million dollars in scholarships, charities and philanthropic efforts.
