Eurobasket 2015: Greece – Slovenia 83-72

Greece never trailed as they defeated Slovenia 83-72 to remain undefeated in Group C of EuroBasket 2015 and book their ticket to the knockout stage in Lille.
Slovenia trailed by 17 points in the second quarter but used a 7-0 start to the fourth quarter to trim the deficit to 62-60. Greece punched back with a 9-1 run for a 71-61 advantage with six minutes left in the game. Slovenia would not get closer than seven points the rest of the way.
Greece shot 62% from the field and scored 44 points in the paint compared to 28 inside points by Slovenia. The Greeks also grabbed 33 rebounds with Slovenia totalling 23. Greece also topped 20 assists for the fourth straight game with 21 assists.
Vassilis Spanoulis paced the Greeks with 19 points, two rebounds, six assists and one steal.
Greece continue to roll with their fourth straight win and a 4-0 record going into their final Group C game against Netherlands. Slovenia dropped to 2-2 and are still waiting to secure a spot at the knockout stage ahead of their final Zagreb versus The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
