Antetokounmpo as a manager suggests teams from Greece for Ronaldo
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
After Kifisia, the Milwaukee Bucks star invited the Portuguese football star to come and play in Greece.
Cristiano Ronaldo announced on Monday via social media that he will leave Al Nasr, showing that he is not yet in the slightest mood to "hang up" his football boots, even though he has now reached 40.
However, CR7, as he is often called, does not specify what the next "station" of his career will be, as a result of which several teams are looking favorably on the Portuguese's case, especially since he is free to negotiate with any team he wishes for his future.
Several fans on social media have already started... dressing Ronaldo in their team colors and they are not the only ones, since even Kifissia uploaded a photo with CR7 in blue.
In fact, Giannis Antetokounmpo also wrote in Ronaldo's post referring to the "closing chapter" in his career.
The NBA and Milwaukee Bucks superstar, in his role as manager, invited the Portuguese to come to Greece and gave him the right to choose between Panathinaikos, Olympiacos, AEK and PAOK.
The teams interested in Ronaldo
Many international media outlets are talking about teams participating in the Club World Cup that could be interested in last season's top scorer in the Saudi league with 25 goals.
Among them is Botafogo, owned by John Textor, who also owns Lyon. The Rio de Janeiro club, champion of South America and Brazil, which is in the same group as Paris Saint-Germain, could, according to local reports, attempt to bring CR7 to Rio. Renato Paiva, technical director of Botafogo, told "Goal": "I don't have specific information. It’s a decision for the club owner, but if he comes, you can’t say no to a star of his caliber. Coaches always want the best players and Ronaldo, even at his age, remains a goal-scoring machine. In a team that creates chances after chances, he would fit in perfectly.”
And if Al Nasr will not participate in the Club World Cup, their great rival, Al Hilal, will be present. According to Saudi media, Neymar’s former club may make an offer for the Portugal captain. The cryptic “wait” written by Fahd bin Nafel, Al Hilal’s president, on social media is fueling the rumor. This "move" would allow Ronaldo to change teams without changing homes and, at the same time, continue to enjoy one of the highest salaries in world football.
The latest option that has emerged chronologically for Cristiano is, according to transfer expert Nicolo Schira, to sign for Monterrey, who will also compete in the Club World Cup. If confirmed, he will reunite with former Real Madrid players Sergio Ramos and Sergio Canales at "Rayados", under the direction of Spaniard Domenech Torrent. He will also play with Oliver Torres.
