Buccaneers Wideout Mike Williams Stabbed
Yesterday, Buccaneers wideout Mike Williams was stabbed at his Tampa home and is currently being treated at St. Joseph's Hospital.
It has been confirmed that the NFL player was stabbed in the thigh and his brother is the primary suspect. Police are on the hunt for his brother, whose name has yet to be released.
Recently Williams has been in the news more for his outlandish behavior than for his sportsmanship. His 2013 football season was cut early due to a torn hamstring. Williams currently is facing criminal mischief and trespass charges. Reports claim that many neighbors in his community have complained about his extravagant and loud house parties.
The footballer, who is signed to a large six-year, $40 million dollar contract, is skating on thin ice with his coach Lovie Smith. Smith stated to press: "There's a pattern here and it's disturbing...No one is bigger than this football team. He has to understand that...Have I been disappointed in Mike Williams? Of course, there's a standard. We're just not going to put up with it, no matter who it is. You have to be good on the field and off the field...". Mike Williams recently pled not guilty to his current charges.
