Soccer coach Claudio Ranieri has just been positioned as Greece's new coach.
The previous Chelsea manager travelled to Greece and signed a two-year contract, where he will recieve 800,000 euro annually. Ranieri follows previous coach Fernando Santos, whose position ended after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Greece's new coach will center his instruction on qualifying the Hellenic team into the Euro 2016 competition. In a statement, the Greek Football Federation commented, "The Italian coach is expected to lead our group to new successes with Euro 2016 on the horizon".
This marks Ranieri's first time coaching an international team. He has presided over 14 different clubs, such as Roma, Inter Milan and Juventus. While serving as Chelsea's coach, he upgraded the Premier League's score year-on-year and led them to the 2004 Champion League semi-finals.
