Greek Former Soccer Coach Santos Faces Ban
Greece's previous National Team soccer coach Fernando Santos has been barred from 8 global games, according to FIFA yesterday.
FIFA stated that Santos was guilty of "several acts of unsporting conduct towards the match officials" during the June 29th game, according to Kathimerini. After the World Cup's finale in Brazil, Santos was replaced by Italy's Claudio Ranieri to serve as the Greek National Team's new coach.
Santos had served the Greek team for four years and will now have to begin the ban if he is to lead another national team. The discrepancy occurred when Santos quarreled with referees, when he wanted to instruct his athletes on the field.
