FIFA Appoints CFA Leader as Palestine & Israel Soccer Mediator
FIFA has appointed Cyprus Football Association head Costakis Koutsokoumnis to mediate a soccer resolution between Palestine and Israel, as stated by CFA and reported by Parikiaki.
Koutsokoumnis' post includes orchestrating premier meetings with officials from both territories. Efforts will continue until 2014's end. Today brought the first meeting in Palestine, while tomorrow brings the first meeting in Israel.
Koutsokoumnis has served in a variety of serious efforts in different nations under the guidance of FIFA. FIFA has stated that it is only affiliated with soccer, and is not involved in international relations of nations.
