Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Enjoy Extended Antiparos Vacation
Hollywood's elite couple Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks continue to enjoy their extended vacation on the island of Antiparos.
The stars have been spotted frequently paddle boarding in the Southern Aegean Sea over the last month. The Greek-American actress, producer and singer has owned a villa on the island with her husband Tom Hanks, for fourteen years. It has been reported that locals treat them as any other resident, while paparazzi leaves them alone. In July, Hanks swam about 0.8 nautical miles with natives from Paros to Antiparos.
Wilson and Hanks are big supporters of Hellenism both nationally and abroad. The couple attends St. Sofia's Greek Orthodox Church in Los Angeles regularly. Her mother is of Greek descent, while her father is Bulgarian. Wilson's mother was born in a Greek village, in modern day Albania.
The Greek-American star's Hellenic ethnicity plays a large role in her existence. She served as My Big Fat Greek Wedding's producer, which is the highest grossing independent film ever. The Greek-American creator also produced and held a role in My Life in Ruins. Rita Wilson is now set to produce the sequel to My Big Fat Greek Wedding!
