Cypriot Tourism Revenues Experience Decline
Cypriot tourism revenue finalized at 321.2 million euros in July, in comparison to July 2013's 338.6 million euros, marking a 5.1% decline, as confirmed by the nation's Statistical Service.
Passenger Survey statistics revealed that between January to July, tourism figures were approximated at 1,099.9 million euros this year, compared to last year's 1,036.2 million euro figure, resulting in a 6.1% rise.
July marks the first tourism revenue low since March, which dipped by 14.3% on an annual basis. However, July tourism arrivals rose by 5.7%, with an average of 10.7 days traveling on the island, in comparison to last July's 10.5 day stay.
Per capita spending decreased to 841.0 euros this July, while the same month last year held 936.8 euros; daily purchases declined to 78.3 euros from a previous 89.4 euros.
