Santorini Ranks #1 European Island by TripAdvisor
TripAdvisor participants have voted Santorini as Europe's best island.
The Greek hotspot was also ranked as the fourth best island worldwide. The results stem from the travel website's survey. Crete came in as the third best European island, while Zakynthos ranked fourth.
In addition, the travel website Trivago conducted a survey concerning the favored locations for Greeks for May Day weekend, occurring from the 1st until the 3rd. This year's results were assessed by web searches from February 1st until April 20th.
The rankings mirrored last year's; Rome was the most popular, with Nafplio, Thessaloniki, Athens, Istanbul, London, Hydra, Monemvasia, Spetses and Rethymno following.
