The Cyprus Tourism Organization has confirmed that prices have decreased at various seaside eatery and beverage spots, while there has been a decrease in the amount of businesses that overcharge on goods concerning their listed cost.

The Organization also announced that there was a 6% rise in tourism arrivals in the first six months of 2015, that amounted to more than one million visitors.

CTO Deputy Director Annita Demetriades described at a press conference, "It seems that there is a good momentum," and further commented, "data for the first six months of the year shows an increase of almost 6%," according to Parikiaki.

Demetriades added, "Nonetheless, there is a decline in the Russian market, which was expected. However we have achieved increased numbers from other traditional markets that have covered the gap and this way we can manage the drop from Russia."

CTO Quality Assurance Department Deputy Director Giorgos Pericleous stated that the cost of a frappe in the coastal region of Protaras has dove to 2 euros, compared to 4 or 5 euros years earlier.
