The 20 beaches with the whitest sand in the world - Which Greek is in third place
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Where the land meets the sea stretch the most idyllic beaches in the world, which impress with their beauty.
Many lists are published every now and then about the most beautiful or romantic beaches in the world, with the bluest or clearest waters.
Now, luxury holiday company CV Villas has researched which beaches in the world have the whitest sand, using Google Maps images from around 200 beaches and carrying out a color analysis of each coastline.
So where is the whitest sand beach in the entire world? Well, according to this study it is Tulum Beach in Mexico!
Images of this beach had the lowest coefficient (variation) of pure white, meaning it ranked comfortably ahead of the rest.
In second place was Anse Source D'Argent in the Seychelles, which had a factor of 4.3, and in third place was Marmari Beach in Greece, which had a factor of 6.5.
The sparkling white sand is not isolated to just one part of the world. Beaches from Spain to Cuba, Thailand to Scotland are on the list.
These are the 20 beaches with the whitest sand in the world:
