Major Hotel Chains Plan Corfu Properties
GBR Consulting agency recently reported that two major international hotel chains are planning to build properties on Corfu.
As reported by Kathimerini, Fairmont Hotels and Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts will set up amenities on the Greek island. Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts will construct a hotel in 2017, through the Angsana Hotel chain, while Fairmont Hotels will start construction in 2018.
Both proprietors have previously stated their interest in the region. Banyan Tree is based in Singapore and currently owns 29 hotels worldwide. Fairmont is owned under the FRHI Hotels and Resorts Group, which has 110 hotels across the globe.
