Athens Airport Reports Record Tourism Amount
The Athens International Airport reported impressive travel statistics today, regarding tourism in Greece.
July held record highs, as tourism increased by 22% in comparison to last July and totaled 1.77 million flyers, as reported by ANA-MPA. Air travel statistics held a 23.0% international passenger rise, along with a 21.9% increase in domestic travels. July's global tourists soared to 1,185,556 individuals, while domestic travel enlarged to 586,947 travelers.
The Airport held a 18.1% rise in total flyers, regarding the first seven months of this year that held 8.24 million people, by the end of July. This figure amounts to over a million more travelers, in comparison to the first seven months of 2013.
