Archbishop Demetrios of America Attends White House Easter Prayer Breakfast
His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America was a guest at the Easter Prayer Breakfast at the White House.
The Breakfast was also attended by other Christian religious premiers from across the country, on Tuesday. The Greek Orthodox Archbishop of America was seated at Vice President Joe Biden's dining table. President Obama welcomed the distinguished guests and offered thanks for their consistent prayers.
The President offered remarks and stated that the Breakfast was an opportunity for reflection, fellowship, and friendship, according to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. The United States leader discussed Jesus Christ and His glorious resurrection. After the Easter event, Archbishop Demetrios participated in a Briefing on International and Domestic Policy Issues.
