Watch Video: New Video on MTA Train Signalers on Platform

Translation by Lisa Darilis

The subway system is the most reliable mode of transportation in New York City. They cater to about one million passengers everyday, who prefer to leave their cars at home when traveling to Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx or Staten Island.

Ticket collectors do not exist in these train cars, as many years ago the electronic metro card system has been implemented. There are, however, in other areas and in every station MTA employees who make some weird signals to the trains' drivers. Have you ever asked yourself what these signals mean? A funny video is coming out that will, in its own way, answer this.

Many have noticed how these signalers, no matter what station they're in, indicate to the train driver a special sign. If someone were to take a closer look they would see how they hold a ruler, which is used as a pointer of the correct signal where the train stops. The masterminds of the video, which you will see, decided to communicate with these signalers and distract them.

They stood by those spots on the platform, and wrote down questions on a sign, saying things such as "If you have seen a naked person, point this way," or "If you are sexy, point this way." The signalers usually crack a smile and humor them.

The video was posted deliberately in the search areas that concerned traffic flow and it even sparked the MTA's interest, who expressed their belief that it was intended as a motion of gratitude and interest towards the subway system's employees. The creators of the video are already getting ready for the sequel.
