Is Kimberly Guilfoyle coming to Athens as ambassador, or not?

Government officials, who were asked about this, commented on the rumors and reports about Kimberly Guilfoyle's refusal to take up the position of ambassador in Athens.
"The Greek side has not received any information about a change in the person who will be proposed as US ambassador to Athens," they noted. They also reminded that the approval process for US ambassadors abroad is also pending for other candidates, especially for important embassies.
Finally, the same officials meaningfully emphasized: "Of course, the choice of a person for an embassy is a sovereign right of each state."
It is recalled that reports claim that Guilfoyle, who was Trump's proposal for the US embassy in Athens since last December, to replace George Tsounis, ultimately refused to take up the position.
However, last March, Kimberly Guilfoyle attended the Greek diaspora event for the national anniversary with the US president. She even declared herself “excited” about her new role in Greece, posting a tribute to her on her Instagram account by the website Breitbart.
According to the article, a “mania” has erupted in Greece for Kimberly Guilfoyle, who in her post expressed “honor and humility” for the “support from our Greek allies.” “I am ready to strengthen the incredible bonds between Greece and the United States,” Guilfoyle wrote, while stating that she is looking forward to coming to Greece.
