Queens Killer Sentenced to Life

  • Written by

Queens killer Jason Bohn, was sentenced to life in prison without parole today. He has been convicted of first-degree murder, after torturing his ex-girlfriend to death in 2012.

On March 4th, he was found guilty of beating and strangling Danielle Thomas to death. Queens District Attorney Richard Brown commented, "The defendant has been held accountable for his actions and will spend the rest of his life in prison...At trial, the jury listened to harrowing evidence – including a recording during which the victim begged for her life as the defendant tortured and ultimately killed her – and returned a verdict of first-degree murder finding that 'the defendant acted in an especially cruel and wanton manner pursuant to a course of conduct intended to inflict and inflicting torture upon the victim prior to the victim's death'".

Thomas' 27-year-old body was found over ice, in a bathtub at the couple's Astoria apartment, last June 26th. The cause of her death was blunt force trauma to her torso and neck. A note left at the scene of the crime stated, "It was an accident. I had been drinking and I was drunk when I got home. She was already asleep. I woke up and there was fighting between us. When I woke up again she was unconscious. I am sorry".
