Cypriot President Anastasiades Comments on Erdogan's Influence
Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades commented that newly-appointed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has a substantial amount of influence, over island solution advancements.
Anastasiades stated that talks over the next following months are the most vital, regarding a mutually beneficial resolution. The Cypriot President stated of Erdoğan's intentions, "according to information, Erdoğan appears decisive". President Anastasiades claimed that this will be proven over time.
The President of the Republic of Cyprus declared his desire for the nation's fellow EU members and allies, to further advocate a solution for Cyprus. Referring to September's UN General Assembly meetings set for September in New York, Anastasiades stated that the new Turkish President's committment to solution efforts will be revealed.
